The Net Breathing System might be the coolest part of Nebula’s 3D Breathing System story. Underneath the sole - the part of the sole the grips the asphalt- has purposeful apertures. This thoroughly promotes breathability and, paired with the waterproof membrane that lies beneath the entire foot, helps excess moisture escape and ensures optimum breathability. Lastly, there’s a protective layer that shields the foot from outside elements. The Inner Breathing System is an interior structure that creates, configures and distributes space between the foot and the upper, allowing moisture- the enemy of comfort- to freely and quickly escape.

Geox challenged the historical perception of holes in shoes - the first step of the Geox revolution. Usually associated with the idea of a worn out shoe to be thrown away, the holes became a technological plus.

The Geox revolution has been made possible after extensive research resulting in the development of the membrane, made of a special micro-porous material which expels sweat, in the form of water vapor, but prevents water from penetrating. The process is made possible as the membrane’s micropores are larger than water vapour molecules, but smaller than water droplets - keeping water out and feet dry.

After solving the problem of breathability in rubber-soled shoes, Geox has developed an exclusive line of clothing that ensures maximum breathability, maximum body temperature regulation and maximum comfort.

THE SPACER

Geox patented technology allows an increased transpiration capability. Harnessing the principle of convection, the warm humid air created by the evaporation of sweat passes through a unique spacer underneath the apparel’s padding and it moves upward, exiting through a breathing tape across the shoulders.

THE MEMBRANE

Geox's revolutionary technology was developed as a result of thorough research aimed at inventing a special membrane composed of a microporous material that can absorb sweat in the form of water vapor, before expelling it through the perforated sole.Research has shown that because the micropores are smaller than a drop of water, but larger than a molecule of vaporized water, water cannot enter the shoes from the exterior and feet stay dry.

Leather has a porous structure. This gives it the advantage of letting the foot breathe. But this is also its main disadvantage since it tends to absorb water and moisture.
